Tvinni

Tvinni was developed by Marianne Isager in collaboration with the Danish mill Skive Uldspinderi (Henrichsens Uldspinderi). The yarn consists of fine merino wool—so-called "virgin wool"—sourced from the lamb's first shearing. These long and fine fibers provide very high durability. It is often described as Isager's finest yarn, which only grows more beautiful over time. A sweater knitted in Tvinni will have a long lifespan if cared for properly.

Since the yarn is two-ply, it is excellent for knitting stockinette stitch in the round without bias or twisting. Thanks to its lightness, it is incredibly versatile; it can be knitted alone or held together with other qualities and is a popular choice for both Fair Isle patterns and traditional Norwegian colorwork.
