Puno

Puno consists primarily of the finest and softest baby alpaca (68%), complemented by 10% extra fine merino wool. These natural fibers are blown into a thin synthetic mesh (22%) that holds them in place. All wool in Gepard's products is mulesing-free, and the yarn is both RAS and RWS certified for responsible production.

This special manufacturing method results in a voluminous yet lightweight yarn with a yardage approximately twice as long as a traditionally spun yarn.

It is a very soft yarn to work with, offering a feel reminiscent of cashmere but with a beautiful and natural appearance. Puno is very easy to knit—it is excellent for beginners, but also a perfect choice for those who prefer working with light and elastic yarns. It is a yarn that feels fantastic against the skin.
